Task 16 has recentlky published White Paper No. 1 “Overview and major needs for identifying and acting on Hidden and Untapped Hydropower Opportunities at Existing Infrastructure”. The full paper can be downloaded here.

This extensive report provides the results of Annex XV's asset management investigation which involved the collection and evaluation of 196 international examples of good practices to determine drivers for decision making for hydropower maintenance, and the decision-making process based on those good practices. Owners and Managers of ageing hydropower schemes are invited to attend IEA Hydro's Annex XV Workshop on "Maintenance Works and Decision-Making for Hydro Facilities" immediately following HYDRO 2017 in Seville, Spain 9-11, October 2017.
