Task 17 on Climate Change Resilience for Hydropower Plants has published its final report. The report addresses possicle climate change impacts on hydropower plants, mostly on structural and elektromechanical components and gives advice on how the resilience could be strenghtened. In a second chapter the report gives an extensive overview of examples how hydropower plants were damaged due to extreme events cause by climate change, such as floods or debris flows. The case studies then describe how the damage was repaired and how the resilience was strengthened to better withstand future events. A third chapter provides an overview of sediment managment strategies that are implemented in Japan, mostly. 20251217 Task17 FinalReport
